The Malayalee community in Griffith is set to make history with its first-ever comprehensive Christmas and New Year celebration, marking a significant milestone for local Malayalam-speaking residents. Scheduled for 29^th December 2024, from 4 PM to 8 PM, this special event will be hosted at the Yenda Memorial Hall, located at Yenda Pl, Yenda NSW 2681.

A New Tradition Begins

For years, Christmas celebrations in Griffith’s Malayalee community have been cherished as warm, family-centered gatherings, often highlighted by joyful carol singing in individual homes. Building on this tradition, a group of enthusiastic community members is introducing an exciting new chapter—a vibrant, inclusive event designed to bring the entire community together, much like the annual Onam celebrations. This initiative reflects the community’s spirit of togetherness and its growing enthusiasm for shared festivities

The evening will be a cultural extravaganza featuring:
